Diverter Rough Valve Delta R11000 Review

This valve does not work. This prevents the plumber from turning off the shower head when we just want to use a regular wall mounted shower head. We have to use both shower heads all the time.

This aftermarket shower enclosure can be used with a Delta finish. This is not Delta and the quality is nowhere near Delta. If you plan to use copper tubing and solder directly to the valve, that won't work. The thimble block sent for port 3 doesn't even match. The castings are very rough and you will need to drill mounting holes.

I bought it without knowing that it was a cheap imitation. I ended up having to cut through a wall I had just finished and painted to rip out this valve and replace it with a real Delta valve because the real changeover valve didn't work with this fake valve. Don't waste your time and money buying fakes. Compared to the original product, it was noticeably cheaper: the metal was a different color, the valve cover was not screwed properly, the internal channels were not properly finished, etc…

wow - where do I start. it's wrong and bad at it before we even get to the screaming problem. All threads are rough, burrs all over the body, mechanical parts inside the body. THAT ---- THAT the top outlet pipe drowned it out! Seriously, you can't even use this properly or in any way with a real triangular 3-way switching valve (like the one I drew) since you need the #1 and #2 outputs for 3-way. the biggest minus is that the connectors are not properly processed. (too small) This means you can't use copper tubing in the ports, forcing you to buy a 1/2" NPT female adapter for PEX fittings, reducing most cost and time savings and reducing the rigidity of the Mixing decreases valves.Copper There were metal shavings from machining in the ports which I was able to clean out with a pickaxe and compressed air.I'm glad I noticed them as they could potentially damage the new valve.The time…

I had previously remodeled my downstairs bathroom so when it came time to remodel my upstairs bathroom I was already familiar with this valve and how it worked. This valve does what it's supposed to and I had no trouble installing it.
