Good side protection

These side protections are well built, good quality and very easy to fit and remove. The Mavic Air 2 has sensors in all directions except of course. Side by side. These guards fix that, but if they made them a little higher they would also prevent accidental contact from above. But generally good shields for side protection where the sensors are not covered.

Pros
  • Slightly above
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Calms down inexperienced pilots when moving sideways

I have this to fly indoors. Uh, dumbass, it's actually scarier to fly with a cage inside since those props slice through the air at an alarming rate. But if you are a beginner pilot like me, take it outside with trees and want to test its performance, it really protects the sides. And if he breaks it in a side impact and saves the drone once, then he's done his job well. Until the next episode, fly well and let the altitude drop if the wind tries to carry you away.

Pros
  • Alright!
Cons
  • No instructions

Works well but awkward to wear.

I ordered these propeller covers for my DJI Air 2S and they fit the quad very well. I wish it could be folded into a more compact design for easier travel. Well, that's another thing I have to lug around with all the other gear ๐Ÿ˜” but it works well. The guards are located under the real propellers, so they really protect the Air 2S housing and not the propeller itself. Would give 5 stars if it folded up so I could put it in the drone carrying case that came with the Air 2S.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Expandable

Best in Vehicles

At around $1,000 for a Mavic Air 2 combo kit, buying this prop guard was a no-brainer. The propeller guard is very easy to put on and take off on the drone. While this increases the drone's footprint significantly, in practice it has saved my drone (and wallet) on more than one occasion. In terms of performance, the app warns you that a fence will limit performance somewhat (in terms of speed, altitude, and range), but until you're an experienced pilot, I'd sacrifice minimal performance any day

Pros
  • Like Everything Before
Cons
  • Too Long to Wait

Great for tripod mode, not good for regular

Poor quality plastic. I was doing a penalty test in normal mode and crashed into a wall 3 feet to the right and the plastic hinge connecting to the base of the motor broke, causing my Mavic Air 2 to fall. I did not test in sport mode. but I suppose not meant for that. By the way, I noticed (which is understandable and not a defect of the device, as I assumed when I bought it) that the Mavic was very unstable with the protective covers that came with it. At the time of writing, I wish the DJIโ€ฆ

Fits securely, saved my Mavic Air2 from certain death.

It's lightweight and attaches securely to the Mavic Air2. I accidentally flew my Air2 into a tree where it caught on a branch 20-30 feet up and hung sideways to keep the propellers from spinning. Shortly after the drone got stuck, the wind picked up and we heard it fall from the tree. When he hit the ground, he hit his side. Protective cover of the screw for the whole punch! Saving the drone from impending death. The prop guard has torn around the clip holding it to the drone handle but stillโ€ฆ

Good idea in theory, but trees can get tangled

As a beginner, I thought prop guards were something like practice wheels and a good investment in safety. Internet forums almost unanimously advise against it due to the risk of the drone getting stuck in a branch. I think there's some truth to that, so I can only put security fences where there are no trees, which would be very rare. Build quality is good, but they are difficult to install. Snap-on connectors are difficult to snap in and out. The weight is minimal and with my Mavic Air 2 theโ€ฆ

I mean they are what they are.

I'm BRAND NEW to flying drones. So I actually bought them before I bought a drone or ever flown a drone in my life. It's an inexpensive purchase, so it's not the end of the world. But to be honest, I regret the purchase. Not because they don't do what they're supposed to, not because there's something wrong with them, but simply because I just don't use them. If you hit a tree or something while flying, that's just another thing that can snag on a branch and cause your drone to get stuck (which
