📷 DJI OSMO Pocket Expansion Kit, Model CP.OS.00000017.01 Review

This little accessory box makes a big difference in what you can do with the Osmo Pocket effectively. Every detail of this set supports the creative process.

These are definitely boxed DJI products. I don't know how they do it, on the DJI website they cost $109 and here it's only $63. Feel free to buy if you are looking for a real DJI.

The wireless base and steering wheel make this model worth the money. The mount only works with certain accessories. The click wheel can only be used if you choose not to have a physical connection with the phone. Once you have OSMO Pocket, just get used to only using certain accessories in certain contexts. The radio module allows you to frame the frame and use the tracking mode remotely. It's worth the price, especially if you bought the camera because you wanted it to do a cameraman's job.

The wheel is perfect and very handy to manually pan or tilt the camera. The radio module serves several purposes. One of them is a good base for installing Osmo Pocket (OP) on flat surfaces. Second, it quickly establishes a Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connection between the OR and your mobile device, allowing for remote control and making photography very flexible. The first thing I didn't like about the set and I like it the most was the camera mount. Using the camera mount will block the universal connector (the one on the side) preventing you from using the steering wheel with the camera. Also, you cannot directly connect the camera to a mobile phone (via a cable) when using the mount. So I doubt I'll ever use it. The controller wheel is pretty nice. Preface: I bought this purely for the wireless module as my Osmo Pocket can't connect to my Pixel 3 X, Pixel 4a , respectively an iPhone XS Max (oddly enough I was able to connect to my Pixel 1.**TLDR - If you want to charge via the module, good luck.
