I read all the reviews before buying. I almost changed my mind after reading some of them. These things work on my 2018 Road King with the Harley Tour Pack. They're set for the right and left side, and while a bit difficult to unlock with the key, they unlock with no issues. I would recommend them and buy them again if needed.

This is exactly what I was looking for: something to help honest people stay honest at motorcycle events. If you have an Allen key, you can easily remove it to bypass the locks, but now someone can't steal onto your backrest or luggage rack in 5 seconds. One note: I had to grind down a corner to allow the lock on my Harley luggage rack to rotate 360°.

Looks good, easy to install, works great and lots of keys. I have the tour package and the backrest. Since they come in pairs, I put on one of each. The Tour Pack is a bit tricky to insert the key to unlock, so makes it easier if you've got one on it too. The back is easy to reach. I suggest you put some lube on the outlet before installing as it's a little sticky, but it can be used, the lube just makes it smooth.

I would say their quality is pretty rough - literally. The finish feels more like matte/flat sandpaper than the smooth, glossy finish of the OEM (as well as Advanblack's latches). My next problem with them is that each of the locks in this pair has a different key. It makes no sense to ship 2 locks with separate keys. You won't stop your stuff from walking away if someone really wants it, but nothing will stop my whole bike from doing the same. other bikes, then someone can take your item if it's unlocked without drawing too much attention, but if they have to work on it a bit it can cause enough anxiety that someone wonders what's going on. They are functional and give me a little security. As others have said, this is to keep honest people honest. It will be a few more seconds before the thief leaves with my rack and pole, that's all. It only took about ten minutes and I was running great on my two-seater Tour-Pak.
