Works great. I'm moderately mechanically inclined and haven't had too much trouble replacing it. Remove the passenger side kick bar and you'll see what to do. It was a little tricky getting through the firewall, I tried tethering it to the old one and pushing it through but kept slipping. I then attached the end to a wire hanger and pushed it through. Went like clockwork.

When I bought this item it said it doesn't fit my Dodge Ram 1500 Slt. I have concluded that this item fits my Dodge Ram 2005 Slt 1500. To make a comparison they need to amend the description as this could be confusing for the consumer, but this item fits a 2005 SLT 1500. I got it for a great price with no problems.
