I like to have a soft duvet on the bed and a thicker knitted duvet for the night. We have a king size but when there are two people in the bed you struggle to be covered up. If we order a California King we can hang it further down the sides of the bed and now both can be covered. Win, win!

I wanted a cotton blanket for the summer that was the right weight but breathable and not warm. I was so happy to find this cotton comforter - it's great for sleeping and has a very cute finish. The size is perfect too. Really impressed. I have washed and dried in a very cool dryer and with great success, it is soft and very comfortable.

This is one of the best duvets I have ever bought. We have it under the covers (it's winter now) and it keeps the bed so nice and warm without overheating (somehow it keeps the perfect warmth all night). I'm always cold, my husband is always hot and we both think this blanket is perfect (it's like magic lol). I have washed and dried it several times, it is holding up very well and I think it will last for years.

I bought two of these California King blankets because it's almost impossible to find this size and I also prefer natural materials like cotton and wool over polyester. When I received the duvets I washed them as directed and then put them in the dryer for the first 20 minutes on medium heat and then turned to low until completely dry. There was no shrinkage at all. I bought the Cal King thermal duvet to add some extra warmth and most importantly width to a regular king bed. Since most Reg King comforters are barely wide enough to drape over the sides, I tried to find a comforter that was a bit wider. This size works well! This is perfect for my use and drapes about 14 inches on each side of the mattress. It's easy to add enough heat in summer when the air conditioner is too cold. Update: Duvet falls like crazy after use! Also, it felt heavy when used with a light cover and I had to shed it at night making it unusable. It kept me warm on an 8 degree night but it soon got too hot so I'm changing my rating. I washed and dried the blanket according to the instructions, didn't notice much shrinkage. My husband and I often put a second duvet on the bed. Most of them are too heavy and hot. We wanted something light and ordered it. Even in the warmer months we like a light blanket. Update 25 November 2021: I am very impressed with the weight and warmth of this duvet. This is a good blanket for a Texas winter. In some places this can be too much for midsummer. I was expecting a much thinner blanket with a looser weave. The fabric on it is quite dense for a cotton thermal blanket. It looks like a waffle pattern thermal shirt. It's warm but doesn't get too hot thanks to the cotton. The California King size for my rather large (18+ inch) queen mattress was a good choice. The…
