My husband and I often put a second duvet on the bed. Most of them are too heavy and hot. We wanted something light and ordered it. Even in the warmer months we like a light blanket. That will be good. This is a nicer weave than other cotton blankets I've bought. The weight is excellent for our application. We use it as a summer quilt or as a second quilt in cold weather. I haven't washed it so I don't know how it holds its shape or if it might shrink. The color was neutral, which is what I wanted, but not a particularly attractive color. I would have preferred cream or ivory, but that's not an option. No one but us sees anything important in it. In terms of performance, it lives up to what we have come to expect and expect from a cotton blanket.
