BEST Knee Pad Around

What can I say - this thing works! I had knee problems and the doctor told me to buy Donjoy (she was very careful not to buy any other brand). Dude, I'm glad I did. Long story short I used it during my 100 mile run and NO pain, NO slipping, the brace never got in my way or felt uncomfortable and I can tell you it worked. Knee pain 0%! Worth every penny!

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Almost everything ok

GONE DOWN HILL QUALITY

I purchased this brace (both left and right) for my teenage daughter on the advice of an orthopedic pediatrician who she was seeing for problems tracking the patella - she is very vulnerable during this time for subluxation while playing sports and injured both knees, but I really want to keep playing. The first braces a few years ago lasted almost 1 year. I found it acceptable given the usage. The last two sets I bought didn't even last 3 months! Velcro is very cheap now and will wear out to…

Good knee bandage. Increase the size.

This knee brace is one of my favorites (and I have many). But I didn't listen to the reviews about getting the next size up and I had to go back and get the medium. The little one was too small. I think they need to update their map. It is, however, a well-made brace that will suit people with patellar luxation like me. So take the next larger size so that your circulation does not cut off. I wear this bandage now. It has good freedom of movement and the gel padding gives me a secure feeling…

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Not recommended

I'll keep it short and sweet: 1. The sizing grid is completely absent. Judging by the size grid, I should be average. I ordered a large one based on the reviews. The large, which should have been more than comfortable according to the size chart, was too small. Back to XL which was too big.2. The inseam rubs heavily against my other leg, leaving a red welt after just an hour of inconsistent use.3. Doesn't support the patella nearly as well as it should. The plastic covering the patella from the

Finding the right size can be a challenge.

This was a larger replacement for a first order which although within measurements did not fit (revain went to great lengths to return and replace by the way). The larger size didn't fit either, but it was impossible to postpone use any further, so I cropped the top to fit the leg. He held on tight and moved the patella to a better position, reducing pain and swelling. The user is elderly and not in good physical condition, so I don't know if that greatly affected the measurement problem…

Works but doesn't last long

Pros: My knee pain completely went away soon after I started wearing it carry, so it helps . Cons: Doesn't last long. The belt is only held by Velcro. After two months of wearing it is unusable. I'll try sewing a new velcro strip on it and see if I can make it last longer, but considering how much it costs it should last a lot longer. The dimensions are definitely too small, as others have said. I measured myself before and it was still very tight but stretched with use. Not the most…

  • Cord is shorter than other options

Update to my previous post

Availability My knee hurts less than when I first posted this so today I decided to try this knee brace on again to see how it feels. It's a lot more comfortable than it originally was. Not sure what the difference is but note that they offer very different support than the knee pads I've been wearing for the past few weeks. Do your homework and wear what is most comfortable. I've worn this brand to ski for years after a volleyball injury. I tried it again today, so I don't know how else to…
