I have ordered 2 such inexpensive upgrades with LEDs, I know about 40 lm aperture. Easy to replace and works as advertised. Use in a 15+ year old 3 cell Maglight to extend run time when needed, even long standby times in a vehicle for emergencies - no need for high power or long range - a perfect replacement at this price point . 2. replace a lantern/spotlight with a 6V - camping style indoors again extended run time in case of power failure but otherwise on standby for the main lighting in the

This lamp is more suitable for direct current. I am giving it four stars though as it will probably work great in a flashlight. Update: If you have the…

Pros

Cons
  • unreliable

Perfect little bulb for what I wanted. A small LED lamp with very low power consumption, used with several D-cells for a very long time (but weak) emergency lamp. Sounds extreme, but anyone who needs at least some light for an extended period of time in a tornado basement (especially if you're locked in there) using nice big fully charged quality D cells will appreciate it. Better than no light at all! Allows you to at least navigate around the room when in a camping lantern type contraption…
