Dorman 598 107 EGR Tube Review

Let's face it, Autoshop parts are more than twice the price of online prices, so if you have time, wait to order online. I got the part on time and to be honest, remans (restorations) aren't always trustworthy, but Dorman does a pretty good job here. The item fits perfectly, no problems, the machine runs smoothly.

This part fits my 2000 Ford XLT 4x4 Access Truck with 4.7L cab. Managed to remove the old pipe connector from the manifold using a PB Blaster, a pipe wrench with a 3 foot shank on the handle for leverage. It was very rusty and I was relieved to see that it turned without damaging the manifold. I replaced the breather/plug and EGR tube with new ones. Fit was good. Easy to do. Saved hundreds by making it myself.

I was a little hesitant to order something like this online but with all the positive feedback I ordered the EGR tube along with a Dorman 917-400 tube connector EGR. For myself I had to have a plug because the threads on the manifold were too rusty to use. He's in a difficult position and I won't go into detail, but he got out of it with some effort. The order arrived on time in perfect condition and was exactly the same as the original.
