Maybe this will help someone.

Excellent product, I recommend. Installed on a 2001 Ford Explorer Sport Trac with code P1867 (Transfer Case Contact Plate Common Circuit Fault). Basically a position sensor in the transfer case motor. Vehicle is stuck in 4WD Low mode. I removed the transfer case motor and was able to install the 2WD with pliers, which works fine until you get your hands on the new motor. There are 3 10mm main bolts securing it to the body. Quick and easy attachment. Hope this works for you!

Pros
  • 100% new - this transfer case motor is brand new, not remanufactured like the competition
Cons
  • Negative impression
