Great alternative to stock but design needs revision

Great replacement, be careful the design has some imperfections. To prevent this, round off the pointed end with a file and lubricate the rounded end with light grease before installing. Now lay on the side of the arrow first, push until it snaps into place, and never bend the loop more than necessary. Also remember that this part is clear and does not have a matte finish on the inside that is usually stock.

Close but not latch

Close but not fully. The quality seems ok but the dimensions are so small that it doesn't snap. The plastic tongue feels too long and doesn't stick. At least not on my 2004 Miata. I ordered two and both didn't fit. If the manufacturer would take a little time to compare it to the OEM and test it for suitability, they could probably make some minor tweaks and make it work like clockwork. Junk - poorly made, will most likely either arrive broken or break during installation.

I bought three of these and ended up sending two of these back as they either arrived broken or broke during installation. The one that didn't break during installation just broke when I closed the trunk. This product is garbage. There are no such problems with the OEM component. Another comment I would like to make relates to another reviewer who mentioned that a component was modified prior to installation. and still give this part more than one star.
