Quality by Dorman

Fits exactly as described on a 1998 Chevy 1500 with a proprietary 14-bolt rear axle. Complete set with sealing washer and nut.

Pros
  • Best in the niche
Cons
  • Little things

Perfect Match.: Universal Joints & Parts

01 GMC Sierra 5.3L Single Cab It took me 3 transmission seal changes (2 AutoZone seals and 1 at the dealer) to find out it was the transmission. Fits perfectly.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Does the job at a great price

Great price and good quality clamp. Fits perfectly. I didn't use the seal or nut that came with it, they were crappy Chinese knockoffs.

Pros
  • hands free
Cons
  • unreliable

it is good quality. Transmission seal changed twice.

Don't be fooled by the Chinese part, it's good quality. I replaced the transmission seal twice and it was still leaking until I bought a New Yoke. This isn't a city. Not a drop now πŸ’§.

Pros
  • Trial period for one year
Cons
  • Quality

Great looking fork and heavy duty seal 30 axle only Spling

These Dorman fork and National transmission seal are very well designed and will repair your transmission seal leaks but will only fit the 8.5" Chevy with 10 bolts and 30-spline center differentials. If you have 28 spline axes this will not work.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • No instructions

The collar came up nicely, but the straps weren't the same!

Collar fits, bolts fit Collar BUT wrong straps packed. The screws didn't even go through the holes in the straps. I had to run to the auto parts store and buy 2 packs of Dorman 81001 belts to get the job done. Dorman is working on quality control, that's your part!

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Negative impression

Was just what I needed I bet B++

This stopped my small leak in my 1998 gmc k1500 5.0 liter better than before the replacement, the only thing I didn't like was that gasket, With that, I went to the local parts store and found the best gasket that I think would fit between the transmission and differential. was easy to install, be sure to tighten the nut with 20-25 lbf ft, not enough

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Expensive

Works well in 96 Silverado 1/2 Ton 1500 4x4

On a 1996 Silverado Long Cab 1500 4WD 1996 I had broken the bolts and couldn't remove the old yoke to fix the universal joint. I replaced it with this clamp. It seems to work. Gear shift no longer clicks. I've been driving it 60 km a day for a few months now. Pay attention to the torque of the main drive nut. This can be difficult given the differential seal. Please investigate.

Pros
  • Alright!
Cons
  • Minorities
