One fixed problem caused another.

This article solved the problem with the check engine light. However, this created a "dead spot" in the first 1/2-3/4 inches of travel. I don't know if that's normal with these Dorman pedals or not. That's the most annoying.

Pros
  • Practical article
Cons
  • Suitable for

Not the original, but works perfectly.

I didn't like having to trim the dash insulation, not like OE. Otherwise it is easy to install. What I liked was that it was half the retail price and they fixed the problem.

Pros
  • Great fit for me
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Works but annoying!

The pedal made a small cut in the dash insulation and fixed the check engine light. The only thing wrong here is too much play before you start accelerating. It feels like you're going almost full throttle before you even start moving. Everything else is fine.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Not bad but...

Fixed "Reduced Power " - 2009 Chevy Impala

Slightly stiffer than stock but works well and is easy to install. Fixed an issue that caused the vehicle to lose power/acceleration and display a "Low Power" message on the dashboard. This was on a 2009 Chevrolet Impala. Hope this helps someone else, it was hard to get to the root.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Expensive

IS WORKING! (READ BELOW)

My 2010 Chevy Impala engine caught fire. CODE: P2122: Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch. I received a notification on my dashboard that said something like "REDUCED ENGINE POWER/TRACTION CONTROL". This Amazon purchase was by far the cheapest replacement. It was supposed to take 2 minutes to install but took 5 minutes as I had to cut off part of the cloth sleeve around where the original pedal is screwed into the floor to allow for a more secure fit. Engine light is off, dash alerts are off,

Pros
  • An Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Nothing Here
