Dorman 918 308 Power Steering Cooler Review

It did not fit the Dodge 3500 as advertised, the hardware was the same, the size was about the same but the mounting holes were far apart I had to zip tie use to get it working won't buy again

Product exactly as described and exact replacement very easy to install so easy I actually made it a lesson to my 14 year old daughter who managed to get the old one remove and install a new new one with a little help on the terminals

For non gearers this was very easy to replace. The hardest part was getting the hose off the old radiator without making a big mess. Some reviews indicated that the screws were difficult to loosen. Mine arrived promptly and I have reused it. It's the same with parentheses. Maybe everything that flows, previously lubricated

Replaced the factory radiator in my 2008 Ram 1500 4.7L. This cooler is actually an improved design compared to the factory part. The factory cooler is just a U-tube with fins. This cooler has 6 microchannel tubes (three inlet, three outlet). As an HVAC specialist, I know a great coil when I see one! Oh yes it was half the price of my local parts store for the same cooler and with free shipping.

This is an exact replacement for the Original Equipment power steering cooler. The bolt on the left end (if you're looking at the truck) was a bit difficult to keep in the socket (not much room to work). Before removing them from the radiator, it is recommended to clamp the hoses so as not to lose too much liquid. It didn't take long to change. In fact, this is a more powerful cooler than the original.

My factory PS radiator started leaking on the lower right side of my 2006 ram and I used this radiator as a replacement. Disassembly was very easy, don't forget to soak the two screws before removing. I used WD40 and sprayed them on the day before changing them and they came right off with two 10mm ratchet wrenches. This worked as advertised and fits my 2006 MegCab with 5.7 Hemi. The only complaint was that new mounting bolts were not included in the kit. I had crappy factory screws, they were rusty and not reusable so I had to find new ones. Of course, my truck stopped because my cooler was out. Spend the extra $2 and put the screws as part of the unit please. You would get 5 stars for that! No problems with broken lines or other issues.
