fan resistance. - Air Conditioning

Installed on Nissan 200sx-ser 1996 with air conditioning, manual air conditioning. It was a different size than the old one, but the mount was correct and the end of the connector was correct. All fan speeds worked fine (the previous burnt resistor only had the highest setting that worked). Remove the bottom 2 screws from the glove box, then the top 4 screws from the glove box and pull out the entire glove box assembly. The resistor is on the airbox behind the glove box. Do you get what you pay for?

The fan motor in my Nissan only worked at one speed, I suspected it was a bad resistor. This replacement part is much cheaper than OEM, very easy to install (it may not fit every car) and solves the problem. A very simple solution. Why only 4 stars? I did a little research on my Revain account and found that I replaced the same resistor with this exact part in August 2015. So I worked with the last resistance for about 3.5 years. If this one doesn't last longer I might go back to the OEM…

All or Nothing Fan Motor Repair - 2004 Nissan Frontier

Did the trick for my 2004 Nissan Frontier. The only reason you need to remove the glove box (which is easy to do - just 4 screws on the 4 corners and 2 more on the latch) is if you also want to pull out the fan motor to check the camera for debris. Dorman (parts manufacturer) recommends doing this to ensure there isn't debris in the chamber that is causing your fan motor to draw too much current (which could cause your resistor to burn out).
