🔧 Dorman CC649002 Clutch Combo Master Slave Cylinder Assembly: A Reliable Dual-Function Solution Review

Disappointed with this product. I love Dorman parts but this one only lasted 3 months! I bought it on 09/28/2020 and live to this day (01/17/2021). I stepped on the clutch at a red light but the pedal never returned! I don't know if it was just a defective product or what! But it's a key ingredient to getting your car moving and it left me stranded for 4 hours!

Part ordered and kept in original packaging until installation. I installed the slave cylinder and when the clutch was first engaged the band popped out and the rod didn't fall back. Pulled the slave cylinder and it looks like it went past the stop and got stuck. I would not recommend buying if you intend to shift or drive your jeep. The new one is shown above, the old one below.

Fits 95 Jeep YJ 2.5L 4cyl. Very easy to assemble and seems to fit well. After installation I went to test. At the first traffic light there was a loud bang and the clutch fell to the ground. The master cylinder failed within 5 minutes. Not sure if it was a broken cylinder, the wrong part or just bad quality. The master/slave activated before installing this part has been reinstalled. No questions. I hope it was an accident. I will try to update as soon as I get the part back

I really want this to work. I love getting things from Revain but I've been through 4 of these units which Revain replaces great but I'm back on the curb without a clutch. I received my refund, I will return the last one. It's weird every time the kit works for a couple of weeks and then all of a sudden there's no pressure. We can remove the slave, play around with it a bit (maybe just move the bubbles), and pressurize again, but it won't last long. I tried bleeding it but read that when the…

The first one I got was leaking but still installed and you could tell the clutch needed to be bled again because it was going to the bottom and you the clutch had to vent. But after speaking to Dorman's rep he told me this shouldn't happen and I just need a new one to be sent to me and he said you don't have to bleed again. After installing a new one that didn't leak when I got it I felt better and it was great. The clutch is like new, I checked the fluid and it's full. Make sure it doesn't…
