Affordable quality product

Works great, the old cylinder was original from 1998 and has finally reached its end of life. Since replacing this product I have had the easiest gear changes I have ever had in a car and the quality seems to be good. would recommend

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Almost never

Poor quality!: Replacement parts

I installed this part on my 2000 CR-V and after spending the better part of half an hour putting it back on I tried to bleed the system and internal Gaskets leaked more than the Polish submarine. Spend the few bucks more on a quality part because it's not, folks.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Some bugs

Never worked properly: Replacement Parts

8 months and 3000 miles out while replacing the master cylinder with a Dorman clutch master cylinder. Pedal feel has never been smooth and there was occasional grinding in certain gears from the start and now I'm having trouble or even not being able to shift. I would not recommend this Dorman clutch master or slave cylinder.

Pros
  • Automotive
Cons
  • Piggy Bank Price

Slave cylinder works perfectly.

Delivery took a full 8 days (standard delivery). It lacked a strap to hold the piston, and I didn't realize its convenience until I had to manually hold it while attempting to tighten the mounting bolts. What should have been an easy decision turned out to be a wrestling match on a hot, shadeless summer day. I did it and now that it's installed the slave cylinder works fine.

Pros
  • Slave cylinder
Cons
  • Almost everything in order

Works great on my 1997 Civic Hatchback

Decided to change this at the same time as replacing the clutch master cylinder (matches the doorman part). I don't think it should be. It had an 8mm exhaust valve, which another reviewer said it didn't get. I haven't had any problems with this product. I installed it along with the clutch master cylinder and set everything up in about an hour. The clutch pedal is stuck and the car still drives great after 3,500 miles.

Pros
  • Transmission and Transmission
Cons
  • Expensive
