good lighting: electric

these lights will NOT fit a 2" hole, i used a 2.25" hole saw and it worked fine, the light is not very bright which is what i wanted

Pros
  • few competitors
Cons
  • boring packaging

Handy for suitcases

They work great and I have installed them on the ceiling of my house. The only problem is that you need a junction box if you want to be legal.

Pros
  • Handy
Cons
  • No mold required

They were great but I had 2 bad ones

I installed four of these, filled two of them in two weeks. I've replaced them and they still work, but two out of 10 are bad

Pros
  • everything is great!
Cons
  • Appearance

Looks great - recessed lights

I installed 9 of these lights and they look great. I used a dimmer to dim them a bit. For the most part, they were pretty easy to install, but it was mostly trial and error, so more detailed installation instructions would be helpful.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Long wait

Very stylish.: Recessed

These lights look very, very good. Dim well, and the type we have (the lowest light available) is like an accent light. The so-called "simple hookups" aren't that easy when you're using more than one light source, but that's okay. Despite playing around with them, they were very easy to install. They're not quite 2" and I needed a slightly larger piece to make the holes for them, but seriously, they look amazing.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Obsolete

Good product but not 5 stars

I decided to try them in the closet under the stairs because nobody had ever turned on a light there in 50 years. DO NOT expect them to be very bright, they are not. They work well in a small space, like a closet or stair case, for a LITTLE amount of light. I am deducting 1 star because they are clearly made for Chinese wiring, they have blue and brown wires with cheap clips on the ends. Do yourself a favor and just assemble it.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Great little torches, give off a lot of light! I've installed several of these in closets, chicken coops and other places. They give off a lot of light so you may need a dimmer. Also, they get a little warm, so I used 4" PVC around them to keep the insulation from touching the heatsinks. I also cut out the 120v converter and mounted it directly to the 12v transformer. Still works fine but the 120 volt setup is a bit crappy and certainly not up to date.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • boring packaging
