Works great with Gain Softner!

Some people have complained that this ball only works with the Downey Ultra! I have to say I was skeptical that a company could design this detergent ball to only work with their brand (that would be an amazing feat). Certainly not a problem with the brand I use. I use a laundry that doesn't have automatic dispensers. I do up to 6 downloads at a time so I bought 6 Downy Balls. So far every ball has been correctly opened and distributed every time. The ideal way to distribute fabric softener in the rinse cycle of your washing machine. Works with homemade fabric softeners too! Good but not great - what I learned.

This is the first fabric softener dispenser I have ever used. I've only used Bounce towelettes in the past. We have a public laundry room in our condominium. I guess three packs because I often do three downloads at once. Our machines do not have dispensers. I wasn't sure how many to fill. I know our cars are bigger than stock but I'm not sure how much bigger. Through trial and error, that's what makes our clothes so soft!
