Some people have complained that this ball only works with the Downey Ultra! I have to say I was skeptical that a company could design this detergent ball to only work with their brand (that would be an amazing feat). Certainly not a problem with the brand I use. This is the first fabric softener dispenser I have ever used. I've only used Bounce towelettes in the past. We have a public laundry room in our condominium.
