Well sewn but hard to shrink.

These shoes are very well made. Material and processing quality are excellent. However, this is the toughest and most difficult shoe I have ever worn since suffering a foot injury. After a few months, I can still only wear them for a short time. I'm not saying this applies to other people, but they just don't work for me. Again, the finish and quality is excellent, as is the fit, but I wouldn't buy them again for personal use.

Pros
  • Well built
Cons
  • Difficult to say

Ideal for men who wear braces

We bought these shoes because they were larger and had velcro closures. My father is 95 years old and wears braces. We needed shoes that fit him and were larger than his actual shoe size. They fit perfectly but were obviously too big for the other leg. My dad loved these shoes so much we ordered another pair in the right size for the other foot. From every order we have one shoe that we cannot use, but it was worth it. My dad can't see so he had trouble tying his laces so velcro was perfect for

Pros
  • Simple design
Cons
  • Awkward

Better than expected.

Great fit. Walks and stands better than it has been for years. It just helps me become more stable. The velcro is very strong and seems durable. The insoles are the best I have ever seen or used. Replacing is expensive, but worth it. The only "problem" I had was very minor and easy to fix. These are new shoes and they have started to squeak. Correction? .a small amount of baby powder, wiped off any excess, no more beeping, quiet as a mouse. :)

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Infinitely sluggish

Nice fit but use an insert!

These were great shoes and fit great but you must use the liner that comes with the kit. Of course most people would do that, but I tried them on without a liner first and it was obvious that this was necessary. I'm not familiar with the spacers that are also included - I haven't used them and am happy with the fit. I didn't give these 5 stars because I haven't worn the shoe that often and the buckle on the strap is a bit stiff. I have a feeling it will pass with time and besides the shoes are…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • No insurance

I recommend getting a regular if you're far in.

Bought for dad in a wide range. They are extremely wide. I recommend buying regular shoes if you are wide in other shoes. Wide fits like doubles from other brands. My father has to wear double socks to be comfortable. I didn't want to return them because he doesn't walk much. He does not have diabetes, but he is more sedentary, so he feels edematous, so people's usual shoes were tight for him. I was surprised how wide these widths are. Next time I order, I'll take the regular one. Otherwise…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous

I have severe swelling in my feet and ankles which causes my feet to be unequal in size. I have worn 10.5/W wedges (lace up shoes are not possible) but they are still difficult to get on and off and rub on my ankles and heels. I later found diabetic shoes with Velcro for my very high, swollen instep. They fit well and are comfortable. As others have noted, they're more like 2-3W, but that's what I needed. They are also attractive in my opinion, it is not obvious that they are diabetic.

Pros
  • I hold my fists
Cons
  • Update available
