I wanted to slide to provide more support and cushioning. This was the first style I tried and I was very happy with these shoes even though they are different from my usual. They're easy to put on, lightweight, and offer more support and cushioning than my New Balance.

I wear them in my carpentry workshop where I have a hobby of turning fine wood into sawdust. This is my third pair in 22 years that I have bought solely for this purpose.
