These shoes are excellent except for the insole (inner sole). These are my favorite shoes for 9 year olds. The look is extremely durable and will go with most of the clothes the 9-year-old wears. The quality of the interior and especially the insole has deteriorated significantly. Wrinkles and falls apart after a week of wear.
