Dreambaby 3.5-Inch White Chelsea Gate Extension Review

Difficult to install but once installed they work great. House guests and older people in particular have to get used to opening and closing. Because they're so difficult to install, you'll have to think twice before removing them.

Gate ordered to prevent grandchildren from climbing stairs. Need a slightly larger size. I ordered a 3.5" extension. Smart kids will easily figure out how to open it just by watching "big people" do it!

For what I needed it was perfect! Our dog crawled under the metal gates we used to block their access to the pool and patio. If we move the gate down, she'll jump right over it, so I had to block the gate below so there wouldn't be an opening for her to escape through! This combined with a small Kwik-Weld to attach to the existing gate and problem solved!

I installed an extension to allow the gate to span my stairwell. At first glance you might think the connecting rods aren't long enough to keep the extension strong, but you'll be impressed. After installing the extension according to the instructions, the gate is very durable and works perfectly. The expansion didn't take Gate's original quality or functionality away.

Well made product. Also works great if you follow the alignment and tightening instructions. One downside that didn't earn me 5 stars is that the tension wrench didn't come with the gate. It makes the process so much easier that I was very happy to get it with one of the extensions I bought. I ordered 3 gates and extensions and only received a small wrench in one product. I don't know why it is like this.

Gate extension quality is good. However, nowhere in the Revain description does it say that an expansion cannot be added to another expansion. Long story short, we bought a gate that was short for our opening and bought this one because we thought we could add it. Not so! After opening the product, warnings about not adding the extension to the extension appear everywhere.
