They are shorter than I expected but hold up better than our other paper straws. My kids can leave them in a drink for half an hour and still drink from them when they come back.

Will not buy again. For some reason when I drink through them it seems like a lot of air bubbles come out with the drink. even non-carbonated drinks. And the straw will get wet if you leave them in your cup for too long. So I skip this one.

These straws are durable and biodegradable. They are way stronger than any other I've seen. At 10 inches, they can easily be used in iced tea glasses and some of our tall, heat-resistant, lidded mugs. I don't buy plastic straws anymore so this is a good alternative, if a bit pricey.

This may be good for the environment as it's made of paper (not 100% correct as I noticed glue between them). It seems very disposable. I can't even finish my iced tea without trying the paper. After I'm done when you take out the straw you can clearly see that it's falling apart and most likely the glue that held it together has already got into your drink :(

While they're great for runny liquids like water or tea, they're not as good for thicker things like milkshakes. When you drink a milkshake, it seems like it's forcing air through the paper, so you end up ingesting a lot of air with your drink. Avoid them if you intend to use them with thick drinks. Edit: After further experimentation, air flows through the weaker part where the straw flexes. Inflexible suitable for cocktails and smoothies.

These straws hold together very well. Other reviewers have complained about the straws turning to a pulp in the glass, but I've never had this problem. It might happen if you leave the straw out for a few hours, but I don't see a realistic situation where I would need a straw to last that long in a drink. Before using paper straws, I tried reusable metal straws. Don't bother with metal. Not only is it less comfortable than paper, but after a few dozen washes the silicone tips will come off on…

I bought these to do my part to help improve the health of our planet and be environmentally conscious. However, as soon as these straws get wet, they start to break. I usually drink ice water from a glass all day and rely on a straw to sip water. These straws don't last very long and they don't have the power to move the ice in the glass. I'm afraid I'll have to go back to plastic straws, which can last a few days without the structure deteriorating. I wish the technology was better…
