This cable is terrible

I regret my purchase. Had to spend a few extra bucks to upgrade all the copper wiring. I had so many problems with this cable that I threw it away after only using about 20% of the box. First, it comes unassembled from the packaging. Second, the wires in the cable are thin and delicate. So if you plan to run this cable through walls, any small snag can damage the cable. Finally, the cables inside are so thin that I often had to crimp the connector, and still it all depends on how the wind blows

Pros
  • mileage "ft". Number printed on the cable makes it easier to measure
Cons
  • Crumpled

Category 5e 24 AWG HDPE jacketed cable.

This cable seems to be as good as any copper plated 24" CAT5e aluminum cable I've bought. I tested them all with internet speed tests and found no difference between their speeds and the factory connection cable. I can't tell how much loss there will be on longer runs, if any. So far I haven't noticed any damage. High…

Cheap cable but may be worth it

I needed to run some new Ethernet cables through my house and decided to buy a large cable from Revain for a change. I stumbled across this shockingly cheap cable and decided to dice it. Most of the complaints were about issues I've had with more than a few brands of cheap cables, but I've found that most of them can be safely circumvented. In case of tangles and kinks, just keep the box with the pull hole facing up and don't move so fast; This usually prevents cheaper cables from behaving so…

Pros
  • Included components: Pull-out box
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
