I've never used these needles, but they come in very handy! I bought them for a specific DIY project and now I can find anything to use them for. I also have upholstery yarn that is widely available. It is stronger than ordinary thread, which is weakening every year. I just added these items to my sewing kit. I highly recommend checking out Dritz products the next time you need to add something to your sewing supplies.

These needles are very strong! I was surprised how thick they are. I bought these to knit a unique quilt I was working on and needed something quite long. This is what I could find. Unfortunately, they didn't work that well for my purposes. Because they were so thick, they made big holes in my fabric. I'm sure they're great for padding. I bought them for my amagerumi that I am making. (Crochet stuffed animals for non-crocheters). I often needed a longer needle for modeling doll faces to get the right expression. These work great! I generally use the shortest of the set, but sometimes I need a longer one.
