Doesn't meet my needs but otherwise seems a good device. As shown, this is a two-piece hardware mounting system, not a "sled". 4 mounting screws included; Hard drive screws should come with the hard drive, but they are easy to find. The Seagate IronWolf drive I was planning to use doesn't have a "middle" mounting hole, just two (on each side) that are 4 inches apart. This bracket is too short to reach both holes. No drama or frills, just work. Simple design with easy adaptation to various installation situations at a reasonable price. Allowed me to remove the two massive hard drive cages blocking airflow and install the drive into the open CD/DVD slot on the top of the case (old design). Exactly what I needed.

I bought this because the price of the product was very competitive and Amazon was able to deliver it in a short time. I received it on time in a package with other items. What you get is the simplest and most unobtrusive packaging possible. There is no box, the parts are in a transparent bag, the screws are included in another smaller bag. Yes, screws included! But only what you need to attach to the chassis.

Works great My only complaint is that some tool-less drive mounts don't work with this type. You still need to use at least one screw as it isn't long enough to fit the tool-less bay's mounting holes. But the rest was easy.

We bought this a few months before replacing our old desktop hard drive with an SSD. However, when it came time to get SSDs for our computers, this mounting frame did exactly what it was intended to do: provide a solid support system for a smaller internal SSD in a standard desktop motherboard. It's a simple tool that works and that's all we need.

I do not recommend. I thought the drives I installed were bad based on the number of clicks they made, but I thought there was almost no chance for me to get 2 bad drives. I replaced them with a 5.25" to 3.5" cage and the volume of the drives is back to normal. There's nothing fancy about the cages in terms of anti-vibration, they just slide on metal rails and snap in at the front. For some reason these mounts caused the discs to get ridiculously loud.

Works as expected. The holes are slightly offset so it was difficult to align the screws. That's why I'm giving 4 stars because it could be slightly improved.

The kit does NOT include enough screws. It was useless. Came with a disappointing amount and variety of screws. Go the other way if you want an easy install. There's such a wide variety of cases out there that the four pathetic screws they shipped together can't cover all form factors. The least they could do was provide a BETTER screw.

Wanted something inexpensive to fit 4 SATA drives into a server case that already had 3 SATA drives. Having extra space in unused optical drive bays, I went down this route rather than relying on a multi-drive "cradle" that uses two or three bays. That way I can drag and operate each drive and channel separately if needed.

They do what they have to do. They enable the installation of a 3.5-inch hard drive in the CD/DVD drive bay. Many DVR cases these days have many CD/DVD slots and not enough HDD slots. It helps deal with it.
