The fit was perfect and after spending two days of 8 hours at the water park there was no sunburn or redness and swimming with this rash guard didn't stop me from swimming. I like the design of the shirt but it is by no means a compression shirt. If you have loose material at the ends of your sleeves and if the bottom of your shirt is loose, meaning it doesn't fit snugly around your wrists or bottom around you, it's not a compression shirt.
