Make it easy

Everything is very simple here. After putting lots of AA batteries in it and going through the menu, I put it on a ledge in the yard and forgot about it. What I ended up with was a few minutes of really crisp time-lapse video. It was easy, although there are plenty of options to tweak things like the amount or time of exposure, or the length of the video files output. There are two modes: photo and video. No camera track (time lapse only).

We've used a couple of slow motion cameras on a few projects here and got frustrated so we just used wildlife cameras instead, but this one is really well set up and an exceptional slow motion camera, period. It even comes with a 32 megabyte micro SD card ready to use right out of the box. One less thing to order or receive and it was really nice. Decent TL camera, camera size. LONG battery life. Requires adjustment for each shot.

I've been shooting time lapse for decades now and this new generation of cameras makes it really reliable. But - setup is required. If you look at my sample video, this is a day and night clip. Everything was fully automated. Both clips are too bright. There is a setting for that. To shoot the "Keeper" you need to adjust the exposure. One thing I don't really like about any of these cameras is the mounting screws on the back. So when you mount the camera you cannot preview/align it. These are…
