Very happy with these bulbs, no lampshade required and the style of this bulb is charming, from the brightest light to the lowest dimming, it creates the perfect glow for any room. Worth the price, will buy more and have already offered it to people who have admired it.

Since I had a dark corner when rearranging the furniture, I decided on one of these cage lamps for this area. The only bulb I considered was an old Edison bulb to complement the lamp. I was going to buy 6 at a time but they were sold out so I decided to buy one. Beautiful soft light with those amazing golden streaks of light. That's the lightbulb that needs to be shown! I will take more as they are warm and beautiful.

These bulbs are so pretty, dim light compared to regular bulbs, but I'm blind and can see better in dim light. You look great on your own. No wonder they are so popular! I highly recommend them. Make sure you get "Edison" and don't copy cats. Remember that they glow faintly. So buy 60W if you want something brighter :)

I bought this because it was recommended with an antique lamp sold by another company (which was also damaged) and I am very disappointed. Box arrived with bulb arrived already open I was nervous I connected it to several different light sources to see if it was my lamp or the bulb itself that didn't work If you look closely at the picture one of the strings sticks out out of the bulb a birthday present and now i have to think of something else.overall not worth the money and hassle.

I combined this Edison bulb with a Perfectshow retro bulb and I have to say I was very pleased with how aesthetically they look together. Sure, at only 40 watts it's not going to light up a lot of space, but you're buying this type of bulb for aesthetic reasons, not efficiency. I used this lamp for an iron pipe industrial light and it fits perfectly with the style I wanted! It emits a pleasant, medium to low light with a warm, pleasant tone. It's bright enough for a table lamp, but maybe not the best for reading as the sole light source. However, it can absolutely add style to a room! I love the warm yellowish orange light this lightbulb gives off, it's pretty damn inefficient but it certainly gives us a glimpse of the "vintage" days when the Night work done by the light is done by hot tungsten filaments! I recommend this bulb if you're a little tired of the artificially whitened light from LED bulbs. It's probably not a bulb that can stay on all night or anything as it's really quite expensive in terms of energy use, but looks great indoors and will brighten up a dark room.
