DTOL Type Female Male Adapter Review

I bought this adapter so that I can connect a USB-A Lightning cable to a MIDI keyboard for some iPad GarageBand actions. It was intended to replace the clunky but functional device found in Frankenstein adapters. Unfortunately, although I tried this with two different Lightning cables, the new adapter simply does not transmit any MIDI data to the iPad.

As another user noted and I can confirm, there is no MIDI data being transferred from the USB-to-host port on the digital piano/keyboard here. Too bad I didn't read the comments before buying. With the Yamaha P-125

Can't do it! And no returns or permits! Even some of these good reviews say this product doesn't work, but for some reason they were given more stars. I was just looking at the overall stars and bought it anyway. Bad idea. That does not work. Especially as a MIDI adapter. Just don't buy. You end up buying something else anyway.

As several others have written here, this is a useless article. There is no mention of a right of return until purchase. Mine was dead on arrival. It's such a simple device - just four wires to convert between two different four pin USB ports. I checked mine with a multimeter after it didn't work on 2 different devices. Only three of the four pins had continuity between the two sides, and two on one side connected to a pin on the second side! After complaining to Revain and getting a refund, I…
