It's technically double-sided tape, but it doesn't stick very well. They wanted us to stick photos, but the pictures fell off and the circuit boards fell apart. even carefully removed the circuit boards without pulling out the paper (that's how strong it sticks). kinda your use case, this is the product for you!

Having a roll of similar Duck double-sided tape, I prefer a roll without a dispenser but with white that is difficult to peel off the backing to this one roll dispenser. For some reason this super sticky tape doesn't want to unroll from the dispenser making the job pretty messy. The dispenser is really too weak for this type of scotch, but it's fine for regular office scotch.
