Good that there is a backlight. Easy to read in the dark. I use it to track power consumption of all types of devices. It is interesting to know how much electricity they require to operate.

I got this to monitor how much power some of my devices are using, I bought 2 of these and they both measure exactly the same, very happy to know how much my stuff is using as well satisfied with the display and cost tracking function

Worked for several days and stopped working: no power. Then I couldn't unplug the power cord. After opening the monitor, I saw that the connectors were melted and bent. I had to cut off the power cord plug to bring it back to Revain.

Bought because my electric bill keeps going up. I'm not sure why and wanted to see if my home office situation was the cause. Once installed everything still works but it can detect power and general amplifiers. However, it doesn't seem to work exactly for the main purpose I bought this for. I wanted to see what the total cost of WH was, but after using it for a week, the total cost is still only $6. The device has over 7 functions but I don't see myself using many of them.

So compared to the Kill-a-Watt series it's cheaper. Much cheaper. It also seems cheaper. But in reality it's the same. The only real complaint I have is that there is no easy way to reset the kWh value. You'll need to reset it with a toothpick or similar tool, which certainly works, but there should be a nice and easy way to clear both the accumulated kWh and the cost without having to re-enter everything. If so, I can't find it, and there's no manual in the box, so. Yes. Otherwise it does what

The first one I bought had a problem with the display not lighting up. I was able to read it with a flashlight and the reading seemed correct before I returned it. The plugin works correctly with a highly visible backlit display. I compared the watts and amps readings to known loads and the readings were accurate. I chose this option because I thought the overload alarm and shutdown feature might be useful for testing different things. It didn't work, but there are many other features that work well. It made a noise when I shook it vigorously, so out of curiosity (maybe the wire came loose) I removed the cover. There's no speaker or power management circuitry inside, no fuse, and the AC connectors appear to be of modest quality. Strangely there is an empty space on the board called: BAT1. The loose noise
