Runs very small in my experience. Bought size 6 for my 5 year old who wears size 6 from different brands. Did not fit. Was too small and tag said '5-6' so I sent it back and ordered the next size up, tag 'size 7' says '6-7' still too small had to go for "Size 8" come back again. Luckily the return was very easy and the dress itself is very cute and made of good material, it just runs small.

The skirt fell apart at first, but we liked the dress. Admittedly, my sweet granddaughter is a rude and clumsy princess! We sent it back and the second one came in almost the same condition, didn't want to come back again and was generally happy with the rest. I used permanent fabric glue to attach a small piece of the bottom of the shirt to the skirt. I also ran a bead of glue across the bottom.

So this dress was for my kid's birthday. I received it on the expected day. Examining the dress revealed strange pink fingerprints on the pink bodice. I washed the dress in cold water with mild detergent. And let the dress air dry. The spots are still there. But my kid liked to carry it and didn't realize it, so I just rode it. For the price I can't complain. Despite this flaw, it looks beautiful on her. My child is 6 years old and is 3ft 5ft and weighs 44.5 pounds. Our dress is 6-7 sizes.
