Dynamat 13100 DynaTape Sound Deadener Review

Good ribbon. Duct tape is what you need when installing heat/sound barriers. Recommend ordering 2 if you are doing the whole car.

Holds up well. I originally bought this for my Dynomat, but it stuck well enough that I didn't need to use a lot of tape anyway. However, what little I have used has held up really well. Good product!

Ideal for sealing joints between Dynamat panels. The metal backing is very sharp. Wear gloves and/or be careful not to cut yourself before rolling up the edges. I don't think other products would do the same.

This is just a metal strap you can buy at any hardware store for 1/5 the price. But if you install the Dynamat and care about its appearance, this tape matches the Dynamat Xtreme in color and pattern, which nobody will see anyway because it's under the trim or carpet. Looks great!

After I put the Dynamat down, I leaned against the wheel arch of our van and felt a sticky pull. The edges of the carpet are sticky. And since the steering wheel will be in the storage box, I didn't want anything sticking to it. So I covered all the edges in places where something might come into contact with the mat.

If you are planning to soundproof your car I would recommend this tape. I tried Flex Tape before Dynamat as it was a few bucks cheaper and shipping was faster at Revain. There was an error. I quickly realized that Flex Tape wasn't the best replacement. Why? Flex tape cannot withstand higher temperatures. Flextape is thicker and stickier than duct tape; it is difficult to work with her. Finally, you also can't cover as many square feet per roll of flex tape as you can with Dynamat aluminum tape…

I have used this in combination with Noico sound deadening material on my car and it has worked as advertised. I ran a little and found I have an old roll of aluminum tape to finish the job. Both worked great and if you want to save a few bucks you can just buy some aluminum tape.
