I was looking for soft, breathable material (bamboo or cotton) with great absorbency so the acids within the urine or poop would not irritate my baby’s behind. I will say my baby was fitting out of them quickly. I got a size 1 and she is about 10 lbs (1 month old), but I probably would size up if purchasing another box. These diapers are a 0/10 for newborns. I’d say over half of my newborn’s wet diapers leak everywhere. It’s happened enough times that it’s not just a fluke, nor is it user error, as they leak across multiple different people changing the diaper.Other standard newborn diapers work flawlessly. I absolutely love these diapers, but I’ve found my daughter falls between sizes 3 and 4 weighing 24lbs. She is long and tall. The size 3 is a very snug fit, but works fantastic. These are the best diapers for newborns. they are so soft and gentle for their skin, doesn't leave a mark or anything. absorbs very well, too. Only thing, Newborn size seemed a little bigger in the beginning.

I've used different brands but the main ones we use for my daughter are Pampers Swaddlers. They have been our go to since day 1. In comparison, Dyper material feels a little rough on the outside.
