The original remote was "floating" in an accident and a replacement was supplied. The fan is stuck in the heat. This works great with our existing device.

This company was quick to respond to my order. Since there are no on/off buttons on the device, an additional remote control makes sense. The magnet on the 2019 device is not as strong as on the 2016 device, so the remote control is more likely to be lost.
