Works great once you've downloaded updated drivers.

To make this product work well with Windows XP, download updated drivers from the manufacturer's website. The actual manufacturer is based in Taiwan and does not have an English language website, so proceed with caution. For me it was a great deal and it works great with my AT&T Sony Ericsson T637.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Speed

Plug and pray apotheosis

I'm very curious as to where I can find updated XP drivers on the manufacturer's website, as a previous reviewer pointed out. After struggling for two hours to get this device to work with both my friend's Motorola V505 and my friend's Sony Ericson Twhateveritis, I almost wanted to break it. After installing the drivers from the CD, this thing was able to detect both Bluetooth devices, but that's about it. I could not receive data transmission or further communication. I went to the…

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Not sure

Buy something (something) different.

This device never really worked. When I checked for a software update, the manufacturer's website said the security settings had changed and I was unable to download the update. Aside from covering the board to block the LED I consider it repackaged junk.

Pros
  • looking forward to it
Cons
  • sad packaging

Adapter AmbiCom BT2000C-USB

Wow what was my surprise to find that I was fooled! The Revain image shows the AmbiCom BT2000C USB Bluetooth adapter I was looking for; Instead, they sent me a universal, unnamed "Made in China" adapter. I was very disappointed because my old AmbiCom stopped working and couldn't read and back up the address book from my phone. The product I received was called "USB Bluetooth Dongle 10M, Ver 2.0 + EDR" which is also available from Revain. on another site but for 1/10th the price I paid here. I…

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities

  • Weak set

Works as promised! Install immediately!

After reading some reviews of other Bluetooth adapters, I was a bit reluctant to buy a product from a relatively unknown manufacturer. I'm glad I gave it a chance! I installed it on my XP Pro (SP1) home system using a USB 1.1 hub (powered)! It installed in minutes and within a few clicks I had my iPAQ 2215 synced via Bluetooth. Comes with a short USB extension cable. I won't be using it as I think it's safer to securely plug the adapter into my hub, but I understand why some people might find…

A good product. on Internal Components

It's a good product when it's a bit difficult to get the programming right for Windows Vista. It is necessary to look except what works perfectly.

  • Handy Item
Cons
  • Repair
