💡 Power Supply AC Adapter APS-306 / EADP-185AB for Sony PS3 CECH-3001A/B Models – Interchangeable PSU Review

Got an APS-306 to replace a broken EADP-185AB in my friend's PS3. The only minor difference is the 0.1 current input, which shouldn't matter. Output voltage and current are the same for both models. This power supply worked perfectly after installation.

This works well, but note that it's not quite interchangeable as the product name might suggest. This model is slightly different from the original in my November 2009 Slim. I had to break off two tabs as shown in the picture for this power supply to fit. Nothing bad in the end, but there was a small inconvenience.

I have a PS3 CECH-3001A that I have owned for 6 years and this solved the problem I was having of no power getting into the system! It was the same size, there was nothing to change even if the PSU was a different model than what was originally in my PS3. I am very happy that my PS3 is working again!
