Adds full range speakers to my stereo

I wanted to fit a subwoofer between a ChiFi tube amp and the full range speakers I built. Full range speakers use a Fostex 127e speaker in a horn rear cabinet. These speakers sound great for the money they cost, but you can't get deep bass out of them. It just doesn't happen, so I searched for an answer. my choice. lined up. Behind my sofa it completes the sound. giving me that low end without sacrificing the wonderful openness of my full-range speakers. I recommend it to anyone looking for an…

Would you like to feel like you are in a movie?

My 10 x 13 foot room is short on space. I have a Martin Logan 10" subwoofer which is great but I wanted to FEEL the bass while watching movies. I bought this CP8 with little expectation and after calibrating it I hoped it would. feel like you are in a movie. Fast and Furious was amazing with all those cars. But I wanted more. lol So I bought another one. Yes, dueling CP8s. It's like a DBOX with no seat movement. I can't watch a movie without it. I'm lucky that my seat is a futon because they…

Works Great - Speakers

I bought 4 inch risers for my couch to fit underneath, unfortunately this made the couch weirdly tall - so I wouldn't recommend putting it under the couch, it unless their geometry doesn't narrow it down easily. Instead I put it under a console table next to the sofa and it worked really well. The device will shake the floor (and furniture) if you wish. If you don't do this, you can reduce the bass on the device. your recipient. The first method is great fun, but can cause loose objects to…

good sub! in speaker

Good sub! Plain black box. Nothing fancy, but it produces quality bass. I used my stereophile test CD which has test frequency traces up to 20Hz. This sub plays stable up to 32Hz. Better than my old 12" BIC. The 12" plays louder but the CP8 plays better. So I use the CP8 for everyday use and turn on the 12" when I'm in the mood for rock. The size of my room is 14x10. Large spaces can't be accommodated with this CP8. CP8 was designed to fit under a sofa, To be placed under the bed or furniture…

Great design / EXCEPT AMP overheating / NOT 300W but 150W

I really want one. After 1/2 hour of operation, it will stop working. I realized that this is due to overheating of the built-in amplifier. Why? I do not know. I bought it from an Amazon store, so I think the problem already existed. When I issued a refund they told me to just reset it as it has probably been returned more than once. I was going to throw it away but just in case I sealed the hole in the MDF amp board. Powering it with an external 100W OSD subwoofer that doesn't overheat seems…

Not enough SPL volume.

The subwoofer arrived well packed and after unpacking everything was fine. I ran into a performance issue where I couldn't get enough volume to match the performance of my front speakers with 89dB sensitivity. According to the manual, I tried to connect two RCA inputs, but that's not enough. I hooked up another lower quality subwoofer with no problems. However, I also noticed that the gain varies greatly depending on the crossover setting of the subwoofer, but is still not sufficient. Revain…

Fantastic Distributed Audio Subwoofer

speaker models. , a feature that is disappearing from subscriptions. The subwoofer is used in the distributed audio system in the master bedroom. We mounted a pair of Sonance 6.5" VP64R speakers on the ceiling. The subwoofer is under the bed, near the foot end of the bed. We used 16/4 speaker wire from the multiroom amplifier (12ch 60W/channel AudioControl Architect) in the pantry two floors down) to the terminal behind the bed, then to the Sonance speakers Because the Sonance speakers can…
