I think they packed the wrong part. The packing list and part number on the box is correct and matches what they have on their website for a 2004 Polaris Ranger. With the shaft in the differential, it's too short. The axle is shorter than the one that came out. Image with the shaft sticking out of the hub, with the shaft coming out of the differential.
