But I like coming into the room at night

I bought this braided lamp holder as temporary lighting when I was renovating and painting the ceiling. That's not much for the light you get from a single bulb. But I like to come into the room at night, flip the switch and turn on the light. These devices are very practical, work well and are well constructed.

Pros
  • Electric
Cons
  • Not as thick as others

Works great and has a good seal around the base.

Used with 12V LED bulbs. Works great and has a good seal around the base of the bulb to keep dirt and/or water out. I have ordered several and will be ordering more. It doesn't have a switch but I use a series of them connected to a 12 volt dimmer to activate and regulate my lighting needs.

Pros
  • Sockets
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

They worked for what I needed

I bought six of these for a lighted mirror I made. I fit them tightly into the hole and they work great as sockets. They are made larger for the outside as there are rubber grommets around the bulb. The only issue I have with them is the wires. The wire on one of the headlights has just been pulled clean. I was able to re-solder the wire by cutting it and making it work. The copper strands are a bit brittle, but otherwise they're great little lights. Just make sure you don't strain the wires…

Pros
  • Tools and Housewares
Cons
  • Some bugs
