Release the clutch!

I installed this on a 98 Shadow Ace Tourer. There was one more factory clutch. If you are handy and have the right tools, you can also make it yourself. Now I have enough for another 20 years and I have enough dollars to buy gas.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Vulgarity

1500 miles and still running

Easy to install and holds up well. I really can't find anything to turn this clutch kit off for. I installed it on my 2002 VT1100 and it works incredibly well. Just make sure you soak the oil for 12 hours before installing and you won't get premature wear from a dry clutch.

Pros
  • Good value
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous

don't take it! for parts

Don't worry about EBC friction discs. They swell so much that they cannot adjust the clutch. Everyone I've spoken to since the install and with so many issues is saying the same thing: don't use EBC couplers! The money thrown away now has to be spent more to get the original. Hope this helps someone else not go through my troubles and frustrations.

Pros
  • Durable Test Results
Cons
  • Good

EBC clutch is very good. Buy it!

excellent clutch facings. 9 discs for $53, couldn't be better. fits perfectly. My bike pulls and shifts much better. I have a '01 Honda Shadow 1100. The only problem is that Amazon adapts EBC clutches with kg springs. They are 20% stiffer than standard. they are too strong for me. I'm sending them back. I put the old springs in, everything works. I'll look for factory springs later.

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Zero

A good product. for clutch

Fits great, looks the same as the original. Ideal in every way. However, I doubt your shadow won't do 100,000 miles or race often when you NEED the clutch. 83 Goldwings with their inherent slip. However, I installed new discs and heavier KG springs because I pre-soaked them. I suggest you take the clutch apart (takes 30 minutes) and see if the clutch is worn to save money. If you need new plates, this is the order kit.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • I vaguely remember
