Works great on a 1972 Yamaha DT2

CT008 is the correct tool to remove the clutch basket from a 1972 Yamaha DT2 (plus the tool looks really cool, love the finish)

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel

  • No

Always use the right tool for the job

Don't be a fool and buy one of these or you'll break one of the clutch basket ribs. And replacing it is more expensive than buying this tool.

  • Weight
Cons
  • The list goes on.

OK, but not perfect.

In general the tool works well on my Yamaha XJ650 81 model but when attempting to use the handle the handle rests on the engine crankcase requiring the tool to be used at an angle. It would be nice if the handle had a slight curve to allow the teeth to fit against the clutch housing.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

. It doesn't fit Yamaha Tri-z 250. This tool cracked up for the first few on google and say it's the correct part number. At an angle, it barely caught enough for me to meet the middle mother. but it is NOT suitable for ytz. I'm giving it 3 stars because I'm sure it will work great for some, but the part number is misleading.

Pros
  • . Easy install
Cons

Great tool, cool decor too

Tool works great, fits perfectly, no complaints. I disassembled my engine before unscrewing all the nuts and bolts, so I had to hold the clutch basket several times to fix the internals. This thing slides very easily and I found it safer than using one of the universal hitch holders that only make 2 points of contact. This thing might cost the same as a multi-tool, but I think it's safer/easier to clutch than a multi-tool (mainly because it's impossible to use much easier or put less stress on…

Pros
  • nice item
Cons
  • Requires outlet

Simple tool. Does the job it's made for.

I purchased this tool to remove the clutch basket from my motorcycle when I was converting to a slipper clutch. I'm sure I could have used an impact wrench to remove the nut, but since the right tool was cheap enough I went ahead and bought one. There was only one position on my bike (Yamaha R6 2005) where the tool removed everything enough to get stuck. I could bend the handle if needed, but it wasn't necessary. The tool worked great. The clutch basket nut was not tightened very tightly, so it
