Interestingly, although the straps were listed as 31-33 inches, they were both actually 36 inches long and needed to be cut. They came with instructions on how to cut them, so it's possible the manufacturers assume they'll be cut. The quality and color of the belt is really great, nice tight weave, heavyweight leather and buckle and now that they fit me I think they'll be great.

The belt is a great idea, but the implementation failed. The loop that holds the belt in place when you put it on is a free floating ring/loop so it keeps falling off my husband's belt when he removes the belt at the end of the day. It needs to be stitched in place. He loves the fact that the strap can be easily adjusted and that's why he bought it, but it's a hassle when he has to put it back on all the time. The part where you insert the belt after you put the belt on.

I've just lost over 60 pounds and am planning on losing more, so I really don't want to spend too much on extra clothing that is only temporary. This strap was about 5 inches longer. Removing the buckle and shortening the strap was possible but impractical and required removing a tiny screw, using scissors to snip off a few inches, and then attempting to replace the tiny screw. It was very difficult to put the cut end of the strap back into the buckle and difficult to replace the screw. Another problem, I ordered "brown" and this belt is almost orange and very bright orange. Finally, the ad says there might be a slight leather smell…

Physically I measure a waist of 29 inches. This belt, once fastened, had an end that I could hide in my pocket. I ordered the same belt in two colors. and tall, and the same size. Someone really messed with the sizes.

Very nice belt with good construction and nice buckle. It was easy for me to follow the instructions and cut it to my exact size. On the other hand, the smell of leather was so strong that it could be heard from across the room. I've tried everything over the past week or two including leaving it out for a few days, rinsing it and finally storing it in a bag of baking soda for a few days. I think I'm very close to wearing it regularly without offending others.

I first bought a "Docker" belt but it wore out after only a month. So I bought one of these belts and after 4 months they haven't worn out! I like it so much I bought a second one when the first one was really worn out.
