This strap was about 5 inches longer. Removing the buckle and shortening the strap was possible but impractical and required removing a tiny screw, using scissors to snip off a few inches, and then attempting to replace the tiny screw. It was very difficult to put the cut end of the strap back into the buckle and difficult to replace the screw. Another problem, I ordered "brown" and this belt is almost orange and very bright orange. Finally, the ad says there might be a slight leather smell which I would really like - I really love the smell of leather - but this belt smells like something that has recently died, it's awful. Maybe I'll just add this orange smelly belt to my weekly trash.
