Enhance Performance with the Edelbrock 8031 Throttle Cable Bracket Review

Used this on my Chevy Big Block as Amazon description said it was compatible. I was able to get it working with some modifications. Continuous. Supplied with all hardware. I would buy again.

This product is well thought out and a great idea......Every time you swap spare parts, it sucks when you put it in. or not... So these types of parts are necessary...!

The top gas port is huge, the standard port is offset and forms an angle with the carburetor. Why the standard is not up to date, confusing, had to order replacement nozzles or adjust by grinding

Will not fit Summit Racing High Altitude Intake Manifold. I would have to sand down the bracket as well as the tall air intake to make it work. Keeping the part in hopes it will fit my different setup in a different car.

Didn't fit my '79 SBC 350. Eventually returned it. The throttle cable was hooked up in the right place, but the kickdown cable was either too short or too long. There was no good adjustment. In the end I settled on the Edelbrock 8036 mount. It was much easier to use.

Really? IS it THAT hard to make something for a small Chevy? On 78 K10, SBC, Edelbrock EPS header and Edelbrock 1826 Thunder Series AVS carburetor and it will NOT fit YET! It positions the throttle cable so far away that it has to go through part of the carburetor to work. Useless.

Supplied with no instructions on where to attach the bracket to the intake manifold or carburetor. I tried every possible configuration and could not match the throttle cable to the carburetor. The website said it would fit my engine for the year and size, an epic mistake. 2 fingers down.

Also maxed out in reverse, this bracket and the minimum length of my kickdown cable pushed the kickdown cable so far forward that it couldn't attach to the carburetor. Bracket adjustability is reduced due to contact with valve covers. Throttle cable position was usable. For the money and the brand my expectations were much higher.
