The Edwin Jagger DE86 Black DE Safety Razor (Long): Achieve a Smooth, Precise Shave! Review

I really like this razor and have ordered the extra long handle which is recommended for those who use it to shave their legs. The handle feels very similar to my previous disposable razors, not "long". It can certainly be used, but I don't want to see what a standard length handle looks like! Excellent quality, heavy but balanced in the hand. Easy to disassemble and replace the blade.

The razor shaved off my thick beard perfectly. I wish it was cheaper. The only other safety razor I can compare it to is the ten-year-old Merkur Futura. I used Platinum Feather blades on both razors. Great razor, never cuts skin, smooth. It should have a long handle but I don't know how to hold it in my hands and it can be used but it's a little difficult to hold it with wet hands.

It appears to be a well made razor, attractive enough and maybe suitable for other faces, but it didn't give me a good shave so I returned it. I have a fairly expensive Rockwell razor, a very cheap "beginner's razor" that I bought from Target, and two Merkur razors, both long handles, and I LOVE them both, especially the "Barber Pole" model.
