Review on The Edwin Jagger DE86 Black DE Safety Razor (Long): Achieve a Smooth, Precise Shave! by Karen Washington

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I just used it for the first time and I love it!

This is my first safety razor. I chose this one because of the size, among other things. It's longer than most and is a good weight. This is a beautiful razor that appears to be made with great craftsmanship. It didn't shave as smoothly as one of the multi-bladed plastic models you can buy at the grocery store, but that's probably because I put so little effort into it. It came with a double-edged feather blade that was incredibly thin and terribly sharp. I've read several horror stories from people who have had a really gory experience the first time they use safety razors. So I decided to play it safe and there were no frills. I think as I get used to the new razor I will handle it better and shave better. Also, I have body hair that needs constant attention. I've used this on my shoulders and despite the length of the hair it didn't clog or clog the razor like plastic always does. General. I'm very happy, I save money (blades cost about 30 cents to replace) and no more plastic razors end up in landfill. Now I just have to figure out how to dispose of the used blades. I bought one of the razor blade banks for short-term storage of used blades, but just throwing them in the trash sounds potentially dangerous.
